Topic: Transportation Equity

Traffic in downtown Chicago with people, train, cars, and buses

Adequate, safe, reliable, and affordable transportation can have far-reaching impacts on health and racial equity. Transportation impacts a person’s abilities to access educational and economic opportunities, as well as health care and healthy food options. E4A funds research to assess the health and racial equity impacts of transportation and transit-related policies and programs, such as subsidized fares, new transit lines, and congestion pricing.
