With Parents in Prison, Kids At Risk for Lasting Psychiatric Problems

Children of parents that have involvement with the criminal justice system have higher chances of depression, feelings of social isolation, conduct issues, and other negative outcomes. There is a possibility to intervene by adjusting how the criminal justice system treats parents and other caregivers.
