Before we venture into 2017 we’d like to take a moment to share E4A program highlights from 2016. Our biggest news to share concerns the 16 E4A funded grants that have gotten underway this year. These projects represent an impressive diversity of topics including criminal justice, the Medicaid fee bump, access to prenatal care for immigrant women, gun culture, food insecurity, and litigation regarding physical education policy, as well as a variety of study designs and approaches (qualitative, mixed-methods, secondary analyses, etc.). Our grantees’ research backgrounds and partnerships span various disciplines and sectors that involve traditional as well as non-traditional health fields.
We continue to receive a strong response to our open, rolling Call for Proposals, and we’re impressed by the creativity, innovation, and rigor of the research presented. We look forward to continuing to review your LOIs and inviting more Full Proposals in the new year. Potential applicants are encouraged to take advantage of the multitude of venues to engage with us: Twitter | Facebook | LinkedIn | Email | Website | 415–502–3490.
We wish you all a very happy holiday season and look forward to working with you in 2017,
Nancy, David, Erin, Laura, and Maria
