What Are States Doing about COVID-19? This BU Database Has Answers
There are often many more questions than answers when it comes to what policies and strategies work best to prevent COVID-19 infections and deaths. "Do lockdowns suppress the virus? Should masks be mandatory? What about bolstered unemployment benefits and freezes on evictions to help with the economic fallout?"
Dr. Julia Raifman led a team of about 30 graduate students to create the COVID-19 U.S. State Policy Database (CUSP) and website. The website and database contain nearly 100 policies in the 50 U.S. states and D.C.
