Grants Management Associate

Job Overview
The Grantee Management & Engagement Associate applies professional concepts to conduct analytical studies or projects of moderate scope and complexity to address a variety of policy, research and procedural issues. Fully analyzes issues and problems, gathers data and information, finds and evaluates alternatives and makes sound recommendations.

The Grantee Management & Engagement Associate monitors and evaluates progress of grant awards, provides content for communications to research institutions, scientists, professionals, legislators, the media and the public. Serves as a resource for the Evidence for Action (E4A) grantees and applicants.

The E4A Grantee Management & Engagement Associate is responsible for coordinating the application and grant management activities of E4A. This includes coordination of the national program office, tracking and managing application review, providing technical assistance to applicants, monitoring grantee deliverables, and maintaining a grantee network. The Grantee Management & Engagement Associate works closely with the Deputy Director, the Communications Associate, and the Research & Policy Program Manager to ensure coordination of programmatic activities.

The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) is the nation’s largest public health philanthropy. Evidence for Action is one of RWJF’s Signature Programs, and the National Program Office is housed at CHC. This position serves as the grants management associate for the Evidence for Action (E4A) Program. E4A funds rigorously designed research that expands the evidence base needed to build a Culture of Health. Our mission is to support research that yields convincing findings regarding the population health, well-being, and health equity impacts of specific policies, programs, and practices. Evidence generated through E4A should aid decision-makers in setting priorities and allocating resources.

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training
• Working knowledge of common organization- or research-specific and other computer application programs—specifically the SmartSheet platform
• Working knowledge of applicable policy analysis techniques
• Proficient in communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
• Proficient in ability to use discretion and maintain all confidentiality
• Demonstrates ability to use sound judgment in responding to issues and concerns
• Demonstrates ability to analyze, research and synthesize large amounts of data with strong attention to detail
• Proficient in ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes
