Rapid Response Research Grantees: Bridging Gaps in Health Equity Research

Project Summary

Through two Rapid Response Research calls for proposals, Evidence for Action awarded up to $200,000 per grant across both rounds to 44 diverse organizations representing multiple sectors and missions whose federal research funding was terminated. These grantees are conducting timely, action-oriented research across the country rooted in improving health while advancing Indigenous and racial equity. Research topics include environmental justice and climate change, improving health and wellbeing for Native and Indigenous Peoples through multiple pathways, alleviating trauma, addressing substance use disorder, food and housing security, impacts of changes in the social safety net for children and families, farm worker health, suicide prevention, Black maternal health, and civic participation.
